About Me

I’m Alexander Sandate, born and raised in KC. Growing up I was very close with my grandfathers, one a barber and the other entrepreneur. We were always together, whether it was cooking in the kitchen or spending time at the barbershop on the weekends. By the time I was ten I knew that I wanted to carry on both of those traditions.

I have been specializing in women’s color and cutting for seven years now, and because of my upbringing, I still very much enjoy providing men’s styling services, just like my grandfather. When I am not doing hair, I enjoy cooking at home with my wife, son, and two french bulldogs.

I was in Kansas for a business trip, so I did my usual yelp search to find a salon to pamper my hair. As a salon owner owner in California, I was very particular in looking for a salon that suited my style. I ended up making an appointment with Alexander for a color refresher. Boy did he deliver, I loved my hair!! So much that I made another appointment with him to shampoo & blowdry my hair on my last day here in Kansas. (today.) I left looking amazing. Thanks Alex! Xoxo

Alex is always amazing. I don't usually post reviews but they deserve it. I have been traveling and preset my appointments, something happened with scheduling and one of mine wasn't on the books. Alex is always booked solid in advance and I was so worried I was gonna be waiting till August! He somehow made sure to get my hair done!

I saw Alex on a not so busy night and he did a great job on my hair. It was all in shambles before and he really paid attention to what I wanted and made my hair look a lot more flowy and natural with just the hair cut. We had a chatted a little about stuff and there were times of silence but I enjoyed it. Im not a huge fan of hair stylists who try to talk too much. The hair washing was good as well and the blowout was really nice. He did a great job with everything and would definitely go back.
